Where are you located, and how can I book an appointment?

I am primarily mobile based on Wednesday’s and Friday’s but I am clinic based once a month on a Saturday at the HG Clinic in Lyneham.

The clinic is on located at The HG Clinic, 52 Calne Road, Lyneham, SN15 4PW. The clinic entrance is to the side of the building and you can park directly in front of the clinic. My operating times from this Clinic are Saturday mornings.

Not all of my appointments are available on online so it's worth giving me a call or an email if you do not see a slot that suits you and I will do my best to accommodate your requirements.

If you require a home visit, these can usually be done on Wednesday or Friday.

What should I do before my earwax removal appointment?

It is always useful to use ear drops for 2 or 3 days before your treatment to soften the wax. You may use Olive Oil (Earol and Otex are good brands) as this can make the procedure quicker and more comfortable. It is particularly useful when using the warm water irrigation.

Do you offer Ear Wax Removal treatments as home visits?

Yes I can visit you in the comfort of your own home. These appointments are made by arrangement so if you need a home visit then please give me a call on 01249 477427 or 07394 520904 and I will find a time that suits you. There is a 10 miles maximum radius for home appointments. There is no extra charge me to come out to you.

How long does an Ear Wax Removal appointment take?

Most appointments are between 30-45 minutes long depending on the complexity of the case and how easy it is for the ear wax to be removed.

What are your methods of Ear Wax Removal?

I use three different methods of Ear Wax Removal depending on the circumstances and how far down the ear wax is in the ear canal. The methods I use are Water Irrigation, Microsuction and Manual Extraction.

What are the symptoms of excessive earwax?

Symptoms of an excessive ear wax build up include reduced hearing, earache, a feeling of fullness in the ear, ringing (tinnitus), itching, dizziness, sudden hearing loss after swimming or showering. If left untreated, infections can occur.

Can Ear Wax cause tinnitus or dizziness?

Yes, excessive ear wax can press on the eardrum, causing tinnitus or dizziness. Removal often relieves these symptoms.

Will Ear Wax Removal improve my hearing?

Yes, if wax buildup is causing hearing issues, removal can significantly improve your hearing and overall comfort straight away after the removal.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No you do not need a referral from your GP for Ear Wax Removal.

Is Ear Wax Removal painful?

No, earwax removal is usually painless. Some people may feel a discomfort, but the techniques I use are gentle and designed to minimize any irritation.
